Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200-meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed within the top three in her various competitions in the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
